We will blog soon, when we get more time, right now it costs 8 euro for an hour =(

Cinque Terre
We stayed in the beautiful beachside cinque terre for two nights. Cinque terre is a cluster for five small villages off the coast with a HIKE to get in between them. Yes, we hiked it...we are hardcore.
Highlights from cinque terre:
walking 190 stairs to get to our hostel room. it was the highest most building in the town.
we discovered focaccia bread. it comes plain, with pesto, tomato, pizza style...soooo good and filling and the cheapest meal to date! once we discovered it, we have been eating it everyday.
best gelato to date as well (and cheapest). 2 euro and it was creamy and yummy.....
people lay out on rocks instead of the sand. its weird to see a bunch of sun bathers lying on the concrete
discovered a small lemonade stand in the middle of one of the hikes. i must have looked really hot because he offered us more to drink.
climbing stairs, to a random building, in the pitch black, and using a ROPE to climb our way up.
meeting more aussies that thought the phrase "thats wack" was still in. We taught them to say "prefunk, tore up, cracking, weak sauce" They taught us ghettoblaster.
cinque terre had no night life...no boys kissed =(
Theres no other way to describe it, you have to look at the pics!!!!

Andy the Asshole
So there is a guy named Ty in our hostel in Florence and he is the biggest asshole and idiot we have ever met!
the stupid and offensive things he said:
Told the Canadians that their flag was dumb "just a stupid leaf"
Asked if they drank maple syrup....over and over again!
Said that all the fat obese people are from the south
Americans don't have time to cook so we only eat fast food (this guy is californian from a small town, btw)
Asked a girl to dance for him...when she refused, he wanted to pay her 6 cents!
stares alll the time.......
oh, and he's balding and fat
=(
We realize this doesn't seem THAT bad, but as he was saying these things throughout the night we were cringing and embarassed to the point that other people could tell and they talked about it amongst themselves when we were not there. They felt bad for us.

Francis' thoughts (not the "andy" blog)
G'day mate, Crikey I'm havin a bloomin good time with these Yankee chics in Florence, Struth! Yeah anyway I'm Australian in case you haven't guessed we don't speak quite that badly but hey, got to throw in some slang when you get the opportunity.
First of all I have to comment on the abundance of North America citizens in Italy. Something that is surprisingly more pleasant and inviting than I first would have imagined. having dinner with over 8 Americans in the same room was the first such occasion since I was about 13 years of age.
Marissa: He's been traveling for about 6 months now, but his entire trip will be 2 years. I think he might be a little drunkie right now. but he's a good cock blocker for all the creepos in the club, swear i saw a 50 year old man there....yucks.
Also, Francis kissed another guy tonight...we have it on video...ask us when we come back about it. it was hot ;) This time not tow irish guys, one australian and one british!
drank lots of vodka, tequila, jager, and touch downs.....no one knew it was called that...the bartender looked at me weird. Jenny took a lot again, she out drank me, i'm sure =) HARDCORE
Made a few new names:
Gary = Gay Gary (there were a few gay guys there tonight so we had to improvise and come up with a new name)
Ned = Nerdy Ned (likes to play nintendo and thirteen)
Keep you posted....i'm still waiting for jenny...

Jenny is becoming hardcore!
I'm the official witness.
Last night jenny OUTDRANK me...she got buzzed with NO headache and she woke up with no hang over.
In total she drank:
vodka fanta drink
vodka lemonade (half)
2 sex on the beach shots
1 sex on the beach drink (they drink that a lot here)
2 shots of tequila (compliments of a "joe")
I drank just about everything jenny did minus the tequila. So two shots less!
When we get back to seattle, jenny will be hardcore. watch for it.

Firenze...less sticky.
So tonight is our last night in Florence. We kinda wandered around today slowly... we are still feeling the pain from Rome haha
Last night we went on a small pub crawl with our Hostel. it was lead by Tommy (whos 50, but doenst look 50) pretty ridiculous! hes cool
we went to a pub-bar that had 5 for 5 basically 5 sex on the beach shots for only 5 euro! sooo cheap.
we then went to this nightclub called space. it was interesting. played odd techno/electronica music until 1am and it finally switched over to rnb. I wore stunna shades =)
Had to buy new flip flops, completely wore down the pair that i brought with me.
Ran into these australian twins that we met in rome. they stayed at the same hostel as us and happened to be at the same tourist site as us in firenze. what are the odds!
gettin used to the hostel, its really not bad. We have been eating the free dinner here. first day there was weird bean and beef stew...not my favorite...this night it was pesto tortellini...yum.
look at the next blog for "Andy" it will be a good one. =)

Welcome to Shady Town!
Made it to Firenze safely and WALKED all the way to our hostel with our heavy ass backpacks. We both have shoulder strap burns. Thinking about how nice it will be to rest in our hostel, we come to find out that we are in shady town. We come into an unmarked door, climb 6 flights of stairs and see shady looking doorman (appears to be a "Shawn")
Things are run down, one bed is so Soft that you sit on it and it sinks and folds in half. We have it on video for later viewing. The bathroom doubles as a shower, you actually stand next to the toilet and sink and shower with a drain in the floor. There is no tub. There is communal dinners in a kitchen that maybe fits 6 people in it. There will be many pictures...don't worry!
We freaked out a little and sat there in bewilderment on the beds in the room. Our 6 person female only bedroom was really a small room with 4 cots and a random man lying in one of them. We re-looked this place up online and it got good ratings. I think the place is ok (not shady) but not what we are used to, i.e. showering in a tub.
We will update you later!

Roma!!
Rome was everything we thought it would be, around every corner is a beautful monument, a nice restaurant, and tons of people. It was hot, a littl muggy, and exhausting...
we are tore up. Lack of sleep and too much walking!
Highlights from Rome:
Visited the ruins, the old palace of where Rome was founded. We took scary pictures of the ruins to reinact the movie...just for you Anna.
Saw purple and white everywhere, at times we felt like we were pledging because we were so tore up.
Drank an incredible amount of water...almost got water poisoning =)
Most of the city is paved in cobblestone, its uneven and we were tripping!
People drive insane, our cab driver was straddling the lines and going 140KM/hr. Wanted to close my eyes!
Went on TWO pub crawls back to back. They include all you can drink for an hour, welcome shots at 2-3 bars/clubs and a free t-shirt. Stayed up till 5am in the morning both nights. Jenny can drink without getting a meltdown, she's hardcore.
We made code names for the types of people we meet:
Peter = Perveted Peter (creepy guys that like to stare)
Andy = Annoying Andy (obnoxious and rude)
Shawn = Shady Shawn (this is the type of guy that would mug you...feel unsafe)
Frank = Freaky Frank (not completely creepy, but not normal either)
Oscar = Old Oscar (we use this one a lot, many old guys try to holler)
Bob = B.O. Bob (he is everywhere as well, someone who stinks and reeks of B.O.)
Joe = Average Joe (normal guy, cool, friendly, not creepy)
Seth = Sexy Seth (these are the ones to try to get with...)
Larry = Lame Larry (self explanatory)
Will = Weak Sauce Will (he's a pussy and best friends with Larry)
Australians are all very cool and friendly, we decided we want to visit!
There are several "rose peddlars" who try to make you buy roses from them. They push it in your face and don't go away.
Got lost after partying and realized that we were somewhere not on the map. Took an hour and 30 minutes to get home. Almost had a meltdown.
Getting two Irish boys to kiss on the lips! =)
Feeling hella old and pretending we are only 21.
Eating lots of gelato. pronounce the "g" as in the word "get" We walk so much but eat equal amounts...no weight loss.
Saw the sistine chapel, vatican city, colosseum, the ruins, trevi fountain, spanish steps, pantheon, st. peter's basillica, the forum, and Jenny's Circo Massimo =)
Ate pizza, risotto, pasta, calzone, tiramisu, chocolate mousse, and lasagna.
Drank a fancy stracciatella cafe = expresso with dark chocolate and whipped cream!
Goodbye Roma and hello Firenze!!!

Adios Barcelona!
Hello All,
it is 8:29 am and marissa and i just woke up. We actually heard our alarm this morning and got up. Yesterday we were so exhausted from the late night that we didnt hear the alarm and slept in till 3:15pm. So lame...hahah We are now waiting for the luandry to open at 9am so we can do our laundry and check out. Totally stalking it with our clothes already on the machines!!!
We attempted to do laundry last night around midnight but it was closed....sad :(
After we check out today we have our flight to rome around 2pm. Supposedly Rome has the biggest or best pub crawl so we are doing some research.
Highlights of Barcelona:
-Tapas! yum
-pub crawl with random ass people (Dan - watching him and his friends do coke, suck my balls dude, nerdy dancing french guys )
-gelato (2 nights in a row...getting ready for italy)
-Angel (the reception guy who had a thing for Marissa...haha)
-Huge water bottle
-Our hostel - climbing up to our tree house
-Shady town + Shady Club
-Beer Swindlers! (out early in the night)
-the weather (although way too humid...prepping us for Rome)
-the AC in the metro
We will update again when we get to Rome!

Were Hardcore!
Our legs are getting so toned from all this walking. So many stairs! its freakin ridiculous! The backpack is so heavy! argh!
Barcelona
Hello All,
We arrived in Barcelona Aug 18th around Noon. We took the train from Paris in a 6 sleeper cabin. It was quite interesting.
If you read the blog before about smelly french guys, well we were so lucky that we got to sleep in the cabin with ONE! yeah disgusting. horrible B.O.
It was so bad that Mariss and I had to bust out dryer sheets and sleep with them next to our face! yeah im not joking! THANK YOU ERIN for suggesting i bring dryer sheets. It was a life saver! ewwwwwwww
haha
Barcelona is hotter than Paris, we had a late night out and just got back to our hostel around 20 mins ago. We were both melting all day long. all of our pictures are all shiney as if we went clubbing all day long. BUT we stopped and got gelato and it was the BEST thing on earth....creamy....smooth....yum. I enjoyed it more than jenny. For lunch we ate paella (very popular here) and the waitress threw in free sangria....tastes like watered down wine....i liked it...jenny did not.
Tonight was interesting, we went on a pub crawl and met some unsual fellas:
One guy was really into jenny and then he asked if she would suck his balls =( ... deal breaker.
We met Dan who was a bartender and bought us free drinks....he ended up bringing us to a friend´s apartement where they decided to all do lines of coke. The lines of coke was AFTER he took us to shady town where there was an illegal club...small...dark...shady.
We met a few old guys who wanted to kiss us hello and good bye on our cheeks
We met a guy form wales ¨Ross¨ who taught us how to say ¨fuck you wanker¨ and then he lost his friends and went to shady town with us
We met two french guys who didn´t speak a lick of english but danced alll crazy and weird. They had a random brother who randomly spoke english.
We happened to find ¨chocolate¨ there but non milk chocolate....and they sort of stunk.
Tomorrow we will attempt to wake up early and visit some touristy sites and hit up the beach!
Currently 6:35 am.....
Will blog again soon....

au revoir
Hello all,
We are leaving paris tomorrow night. We have been here since Thursday morning.
We have seen the Eiffel Tower, Hotel in Invalides (where napolean is buried), Notre Dame, The Louvre, Arch du Triomphe, seen the latin district, jewish district, moulin rouge (where there are lots of sex shops)
highlights:
there is a gyro stand a few buildings down from our hotel that are really nice and serve great food
street cleaning happens during busy times, example: when were at notre dame during the middle of the afternoon when all the tourists were around...hahaha
people here stink they dont use deoderant. it sucksssss!
the metro is pretty dirty but is a fast way to get around
crepes are good
they have lots of baguette sandwhiches
we notice that lots of old men always walk around holding the baguettes. very random!
ok our internet is almost out of time
we will blog again soon. it is hard cuz the keyboard is different here!

Credit Card...
I'm so lame!
Sooooo im on my way to the airport! My mom's dropping me off at Seatac, and as were pulling up to the departure I look through my wallet and realize I dont have my credit card (the card I used to book and reserve our hostels/hotels). I start freaking out, call my roommate who is home in Mountlake Terrace and it happens to be her day off work and she is able to drive down to Seatac to give me my card.
What happened is that I grabbed the debit card, thinking it was the credit card, when it wasnt... blah! So after im done freaking out I go into the airport and decide to check in my luggage while I wait for my roommate to drop off the card. I go to the US Airways kiosk station and it does not let me check in and the screen tells me to "see an agent." So i go up to the lady and i tell her my name and shes says "i've been trying to call you ALL morning, you no longer have a seat!" I'm thinking WTF, ohmygosh cuz i had already been freaking out about the credit card, but she then continues to say "We've moved you to British Airways at a later flight at 6:45pm..." (It was around 1130am then) I really don't remember what she said, what the reason was, i was just out of it cuz i couldnt believe i had forgot my stupid credit card. i felt so dumb! haha :(
So basically i freaked out for forgetting the card, but then my flight was changed, so there was no rush, but i didnt want to stay at the airport forever so my roommate drove me back to the restaurant where I had to face all the fam and explain to them what happened. I'm so lame!
I mean if i had gone and checked in and then realized i didtn have the card, i wouldnt have freaked out as bad, but then again who knows if i would have even realized I didnt have the right card! oh well. lets all hope something like this doesnt happen again!
:(
Now I am getting ready to go back to the airport around 4! This time I DO have everything, all the right cards, my passport...etc
Hopefully its a smooth flight from here on out! haha
